Mountain Clan's Den
Tucked deep into the mountains is the MC's main den. It's very difficult to find at first, which is why the clan doesn't need to worry about predators or any unwanted animals. It has many trees near it, helping to keep it even more hidden. It used to be a winter den of a bear, but the wolves have taken over after the bear left.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
At the crack of dawn, the fox-like she-wolf rose from her slumber and crawled out of the narrow fitting of the den. She looked around, and she noticed that there was more snow from when she had last been outside. It's just getting too cold here... she thought to herself. She looked at the frost on the trees, and perched herself on a small ridge and watched as the sun came up over the horizon.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Shadow looked over at everything from where he stood he could smell a faint wolf but he didn't know where it was. He howled loud and clear as he stood in the snow. "Gah i hate snow." He muttered under his breath as he shook his dark fur clean of snow.

(Ya hate snow yet you choose dem mountains x3)
Obsidian was shook at the sound of a distant howl, and she was actually surprised it was a wolf. The former Mountain Clan Dominant, Beyond, had just passed, and yet there were already newcomers and wanderers. She caught the scent of the wolf, and she followed it. When she saw the wolf, she stepped forward from the trees. "Lost, aren't you?"

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Shadow twirled around and growled softly before realizing it was another wolf. "My apoglizes, and yes i do seem to be lost." He looked around once again trying to find out where he was, his fur dotted with white from the snow.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Obsidian circled the wolf, once... twice... several times. She stopped in front of him, and she could tell he was confused. "This land is call Viscus Slyvae, it goes all the way from the end of Silver Touch Forest all the way to as far as the eye can see in the Sea of the Unknown. Great chills are found here, and it seems as if it's the harshest winter year-round. And yes, a pack lives here, but we are divided into three clans. This is Mountain Clan, and it goes all the way to the River of Carved Stone. In the south, there is the Sea Clan and in the central there is Forest Clan." She trotted over to a ridge, which just happened to have a view of most of the land.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Shadow walked over to the ridge and looked over the lands and he knew if he had a choice he would stay here. He sighed softly and he turned to face the wolf. "It seems like a nice place to live, do you have room for another?" He glazed at the land once more.

"Yes, we do. All three clans need members. You can stay here in the mountains if you'd like, or I could escort you to another clan, your choice," Obsidian responded. She looked at the land. God, that Forest is huge... she thought to herself. She looked at the wolf. "I'm Obsidian by the way, Dominant of Mountain Clan."
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Shadow nodded and looked at the land. He really wanted to be by the sea, but he could ask for that another time. "I'll actually like to go to the sea if thats alright with you? He looked at Obsidian and nodded. "I'm Shadow btw."

"Yes that's perfectly fine with me, the Sea Clan Dominant is Breeze. I'll escort you to the border of Forest Clan, then Romeo, the Forest Clan Dominant, will take you to the border, where Breeze will hopefully be waiting," Obsidian said.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Shadow nodded and smiled. "I don't want to head there just yet so could you show me around for a while?" Shadow asked softly looking at her.

"Sure, hopefully your fur can hold up," Obsidian chuckled. "There are many places to go in Mountain Clan territory, so where do you want to go first?" she questioned.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
(Also sorry about that i'll try to not do that anymore)
Shadow laughed and shook himself again. "Where ever you want to go is fine by me, i'll just trail along for the ride." He looked at her then at the snow covered mountains.

"Hm... alright. But since your fur isn't that thick, should we not go to the colder places of the territory?" Obsidian asked, wondering. She hadn't been to most of the areas in a while, and she did wish that this wolf would agree to go more towards the glacier. But whatever Shadow chose would most certainly float her boat.

Shadow laughed "My fur may not be thick but i can stand the cold for a little while." He looked around and saw a glacier. "How about there then after i would like to head to the Sea Clan?" He asked

"The glacier? It's the coldest place in Viscus Slyvae; are you sure about that?" Obsidian asked, slightly confused. She didn't want Shadow to freeze, and besides, she had much more to worry about.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
"Yes maam thats where i want to go." Shadow looked at her waiting for an answer starting to pace along the snow covered ground.

"Um... alright, if you insist," Obsidian responded. She looked to the north, then back at Shadow. "Looks like there's going to be a blizzard soon up there, so we'll have to hurry. I'll take you up to the Cave of Ice Crystals, then we'll turn around. Please don't do anything... dumb. I don't mean to be offensive, but one small mistake could mean death for the both of us," she said. She began to trot to the glacier.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Obsidian arrived in the den site, panting heavily. Oh, how she hated long-distance running even though she was good at wind sprints. She stopped and waited for Crane to catch up. The snow was getting really thick, so if the wolf didn't catch up in the next two minutes Obsidian would have to assume that the blizzard got her, and she would think that she was dead or on the brink of death. Going back to rescue her would be complete suicide, so she would have no choice but to go into the den.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Crane was shaking her head wildly to get the snow out of her vision. For a terrifying moment she lost sight of the dark wolf ahead of her making her speed up. She didn't realize how close the den was and went rocketing in almost crashing in to Obsidian for the second time in one day.
"Oh goodness. I'm sorry." Crane dipped her head once as she apologized. Her voice was raspy, being winded from the surprisingly long run. She sat down again this time a bit closer to the mouth of the den. The look on her face was uncertain of where Obsidain would want her.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
"It's fine," Obsidian replied, not really caring that Crane had almost crashed into her. She looked at the den, then all around. Her pelt was nearly white from all the snow on her, so she shook it all off. "Try to get the snow out of your fur, and some inside. It's large and very toasty in the MC den," she said. She crawled into the narrow opening, and inside the little home. It was very roomy inside, and even the largest of wolves can stand up straight in the den, and there were many small rooms, including the entry room. There were three passageways -- on the left led to the high ranking wolves' room, on the right led to the nursery, and in the middle led to the biggest room of all; the one for most of the pack. She sat down in the entry room, and smiled and closed her eyes. Oh, how I love this warm den, she thought to herself.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Crane bobbed her head before going to shake of the snow that mixed in to her already messy pelt. It took her a moment to get it out of her paw pads with her teeth. After that, she trotted after Obsidain. The den had a musty but relaxing smell. The farther in she went the more warmth seemed to embrace her. "It is very lovely in here." She crooned.
The biggest area in the den seemed to be like the commons. Crane decided this would be a good spot as any as she trotted to a near wall and laid down with her paws her chest. A soft smile held her expression as she looked to Obsidain, "how did the clans come to be?" The wolf questioned curiously.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Obsidian looked at Crane when she asked her a question about the clans. "The spirit of the land is said to have created a pebble, leaf, and seashell. (Hope I got those right, too lazy to go re-read the history.) The peddle turned into the first leader of Mountain Clan. The leaf turned into the first leader of Forest Clan. Finally, the seashell was turned into the first leader of Sea Clan. There have been clans ever since... and it wasn't too long ago when this happened, since I'm the third Mountain Clan Dominant," Obsidian explained.
