Mountain Clan's Den
First topic message reminder :
Tucked deep into the mountains is the MC's main den. It's very difficult to find at first, which is why the clan doesn't need to worry about predators or any unwanted animals. It has many trees near it, helping to keep it even more hidden. It used to be a winter den of a bear, but the wolves have taken over after the bear left.

"Oh, yes...Of course," Tikaani muttered to himself, realizing his mistake before clearing his throat for the second time and spoke up once again, though louder this time so Obsidian could hear. "Yes ma'am, that is what I meant. I would like to join you're clan, Mountain Clan." The dog emphasized the word ‘clan’ and spoke with little more confidence in his words and at his request. After a moment he narrowed his eyes slightly, thinking. So this was one of three clans all in a single pack? He'd never heard of that before but it sounded interesting to him. Shaking his head, Tikaani left all thoughts behind of the other two clans and set his attention on the dominant femme ahead of him.

"Alright, which rank would you like to start out in?" she questioned. She flickered her tail as she waited for Tikaani's response.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Tikaani paused at her response, flicking an ear as he thought of the ranks...which would he be good at? He wasn't good at hunting, but he was okay at fighting even though he didn't neccesarily enjoy planning battle tactics and what not. Taking in a deep breath he finally responded, watching Obsidian for a reaction at his choice to see if he would be accepted or declined, even though his answer almost sounded as if it were a question. "Guard?"

"Coastguard," she corrected. Obsidian smiled in approval, happy to see that her clan didn't have yet another Messenger. "You'll be placed as a Coastguard for now. Would you like an explanation of that rank's job?" she questioned. She wondered how much Tikaani knew about wolves, and their way of life. She shrugged in her head. Either way, he was going to know it all sooner or later.

Argo sniffed the air taking in scents of wolves. He sighed quietly as his golden eyes looked around the horizon. He had his back towards everyone else, but only his eyes viewable as his fur blended in perfectly with the rocks behind him. Glancingback once in a while, Argo looked at each wolf, studying them and their personality. Argo's later closed his eyes and lied down under a small boulder. He started to fall asleep, feeling the cool breeze and soft chirping of birds.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Aurora had finally made it to the fabled land of Viscus Slyvae. She had heard of it in her previous homeland, but she had never seen it before. It was gorgeous. She sniffed the ground, smelling some slightly stale trails of wolves and decided to follow it. Perhaps joining a clan would be fun.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Tikaani perked his ivory auds at her response. A coastguard? A smile slipped from his maw and he nodded in approval at his choice of ranking. I will serve it well... The male decided confidently, cutting off his thoughts as Obsidian's voice interrupted with her question. At first Tikaani thought of declining her offer, but thought better of it. He's never even see a wolf before let alone attended a wolf pack, so he might as well have a good sense on what he would even be expected to do as this so called coastguard, especially if the brute planned on doing it to the greatest of his ability. "If you don't mind...then yes, please."
With a small snap of his fangs he closed his jaws securely, inhaling deeply as the fur on his neck bristled uneasily, recognizing a new scent of canine, but then again, the new smell could just be another member of the pack... Tikaani settled down and relaxed slightly, glancing behind him quickly as the scent intensified, signaling the wolf was getting closer... His brow cocked slightly in curiosity but besides that he made no move to investigate, only staying alert for the new specimen as he didn’t want to get all rilled up over another member, now that would be embarrassing. But then again, what was that saying? Better to be safe than sorry? The male shrugged, snapping his eyes back to his new dominant.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Obsidian nodded, then waited for a few moments before giving her reply. She wanted to make sure it made sense, especially for a canine who has never been in a pack before. "Coastguards aren't usually found in other packs. From my understanding, the pack of Viscus Slyvae is the only pack in the world that uses the rank," she explained, "the rank of Coastguard watches the borders of the other clans -- and other countries -- and makes sure that no clan wolf, loner, or anyone trespasses. They watch out for prey entering the land, and they always report what they see to their Dominant. If any unauthorized wolf tries to step paw in this land, it will be your duty to make sure they don't. All three territories are separated by two rivers, so it will be easy to remember where exactly the borders are. But, there are only a few wolves you may let through; Dominants, Messengers, and depending on the situation, Assistants. You will have to question any wolf who doesn't fit those ranks, and if they give a decent response, you are to bring them to me. It may be tough now, since you're the only Mountain Clan Coastguard at the moment. But I promise you, a lot of weight will be lifted off of your shoulders once we get more members." Obsidian yawned, not realizing she had said so much. "Oh and one more thing -- you'll have to memorize the faces of the other Dominants, Romeo and Breeze, and some of the Messengers in those clans. I'll go easy on you with requirements for now, since you're new to this stuff. Think you can handle all that?"
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Aurora looked around, climbing higher into the mountain as she looked around for Mountain Clan. As the scent grew stronger, she quickened her step towards the horizon. Then she caught sight of a few wolves. "H-hello?"

Audi watched and listened as the male spoke to the alpha, her smile widening with every response. She liked this dog, Tikaani. She was glad he was going to stay, as a Coastguard, which would probably mean she was going to see him often. She wagged her blue-tipped tail eagerly as she listened to the conversing wolves with her blue-tipped auds.
A sudden sound made her perk her ears, and made her bright blue eyes flick around outside, looking for the approacher. She spotted another wolf, a beautiful silver one with shining golden pools.

Argo looked down from the top of small cliff. Quietly he stared at the place he knew other wolves would be. Even though he was usually quiet, he didnt like to be alone for a long time. Argo hesitated, wanting to talk to the wolves without causing any trouble. So, he just walked towards the territory calmly.

Aurora cleared her throat nervously. "Uh, hi... Is this Mountain Clan? Viscus Slyvae?" she pronounced the words a little strangely, because it was relatively new on her tongue. She tucked her tail between her legs in submission

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
As Obsidian waited for Tikaani's response, she heard another noise. She looked outside the den just as a newcomer was speaking. "Yes, and yes," she replied softly, seeing that the wolf was a little timid at the moment. She didn't wish to scare the wolf. "I am Obsidian, Dominant of this clan. May I ask for your name?"
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Aurora stood a little straighter, the kind tone of the dominant making her a bit braver. "I'm Aurora. I'm from a different land, far from here," she said with a small, toothy grin. "I wish to join your can, er, clan."

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
"Oh yes, seems like no one's from around here doesn't it?" she chuckled, "Even I wasn't born here. An of course you may join, what rank do you currently desire?" Obsidian tilted her head as she caught the faint scent of another wolf a good distance from the den. She couldn't quite tell if the wolf was on the border or in the territory. Where are all these wolves coming from...?
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Audi wrapped her plush tail around herself, putting her head on her paws. It seemed that these wolves were coming out of nowhere. Her blue pools shined eagerly as she waited anxiously for Aurora's answer. As she waited, she noticed yet another wolf scent, coming from up high. A true mountain wolf. Audi admired that.

Argo arrived to the entrance of Mountain Clan territory. He silently waited for a wolf to walk up to him. Argo's gold eyes shone brightly, curious about these wolves.

Aurora sniffed the wind as well, smelling the other wolf. Her interest was piqued, though she stayed with her new dominant. "I heard about being a soldier, ma'am, and I think it sounds interesting. I am a capable fighter although I am small," she said with a slight chuckle.

"Mhm, sometimes the best fighters are the small ones," she agreed. Obsidian flickered her tail as she continued talking to the wolf. "So, you're a Soldier, then. Welcome to Mountain Clan."
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Sniffing the air, Argo waved his tail concentrating on the scents around him. He silently walked up to who seemed to be the leader. Argo sat down waiting , with his fur blending in perfectly with the boulders around him. Only his eyes were visible, shimmering gold. He waved his tail more quickly now.

Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Obsidian noticed a brute come up and sit down in front of the den, and she smiled as she greeted him. "Greetings there fellow wanderer, I am Obsidian, Dominant of this clan. What brings you to my domain?"
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
Argo looked at the leader who was talking to him. "I would like to join your clan," he said calmly. Argo looked at Obsidian waiting for him to be rejected like other wolves did to him when he was younger.

"Of course you can. What might your name be? And which rank do you desire to start out as?" she questioned. She noticed the blizzard starting to calm down a little, but she looked back at the wolf and waited for his response.
Re: Mountain Clan's Den
"My name is Argo, and I would like to be a soldier," he said proudly, standing up straight. Argo noticed Obsidians glance and pretended not to notice.

Before the other wolf came up, Aurora smiled and thanked the dominant. As Argo came up, she held in a glare because he didn't seem unfriendly. She smiled at him when he uncovered that he wanted to be a soldier, just like her.
